BIO: Victor LaValle is the author of seven works of fiction, and one comic book, Victor LaValle’s Destroyer. In 2016 his novella, The Ballad of Black Tom, was a finalist for the Bram Stoker, Hugo and Nebula Awards, among others and won a Shirley Jackson Award and a British Fantasy Award. His most recent novel, The Changeling, won a World Fantasy Award and a Dragon Award for Best Horror Novel. He lives in New York City with his wife and kids and teaches writing at Columbia University.
