BIO: Tanya Pell is a narcoleptic horror author who drinks bougie coffee and lives in the American South. She is the Bram Stoker nominated author of Her Wicked Roots, Cicada, and the forthcoming Barbie Just Won’t Die!
Tanya’s short fiction can be found in several anthologies and magazines. Her work appears in the 2025 Bram Stoker nominated anthology Mother Knows Best, Obsolescence, and Shortwave Magazine. She recently published a story with NYT Bestselling Author Christopher Golden called “It Has Eyes Now” for Fever Dreams.
In the before time, Tanya was an academic author (writing articles and editing collections on everything from zombie origin studies to Gothic fairy tales), an aerial instructor and circus performer, an emcee, and a high school teacher. Her spouse is no longer surprised by her shenanigans or overly complicated coffee orders.
