BIO: MarieAnn C. Raguso, PhD, is a veteran, writer, and researcher whose work bridges behavioral science, cultural anthropology, and creative expression. Her fiction and poetry appear in Hinnom Magazine, The Dillydoun Review, Santa Fe Writers Project, and several academic publications, including her dissertation Understanding the Transitional Needs of Servicemembers to Veterans (2024, NSUWorks). She also wrote and co-produced the indie horror film Revival of Darkness (2007) and explores topics such as death rites, military trauma, and identity through prose, poetry, and ethnographic study. Her voice is both reflective and raw—grounded in science, sharpened by life, and softened by art.
